I stumbled upon Un Lion à Paris by Beatrice Alemagna while visiting with a little friend in the library. It is a stunningly illustrated picture book, made all the more impressive by the actual scale of it - hard to represent here! It is massive and the illustrations are on one whole page, the text on the other. A wonderful book to add to any collection…click on the last two images to see the full illustrations. We visited La Régalade in West Vancouver for our 2010 New Year’s Eve dinner. What a wonderful time we had! A warm and welcoming French bistro with authentic French fare as well as French and BC wines (including my new favourite apéritif, Lillet). These images are just a sample of the type of food we had.
