This is the work of scientific illustrator and science artist, Cornelia Hesse-Honegger from Zurich, Switzerland. She collects, studies and paints morphologically disturbed insects from areas disturbed by nuclear fallout. She feels that the risks of low-level exposure are ignored by the governing institutions and through her work, wishes to call for independent studies. See more of her work here.
