Kettles
We are on the hunt for a kettle, a kettle that will be our kettle for years to come, something classic and beautiful that we can look at and use everyday. These four are lovely in their own ways: the Yanagi from Japan (Vancouver Special $165 CDN); the enamel coated steel Kaiko kettle (Chatchada $125); the Finnish Metal Kettle (Kiosk $125); and the Cast Iron available at (Chatchada $300).  »

Stripes & Accessories
I love how simply layering what you already have can create new exciting looks. I love accessories, but had ever wear any of them… how strange. I think that I have yet learn this skill of making a look personal. (sorry not sure wear the first photo is from. Maybe here. Second photo is Madame Figaro Japon) »

New Blog / Gris-Bleu
Gris-bleu (grey-blue) is the perfect name for the lovely duality of the blend of photography and writing on this French blog. The author has a sensitivity that must be seen to be appreciated. The combination of his photos, illustrations and finds, opens up a soft, often sensual, view of the daily details of Paris. Worth exploring! »

Etsy Find / LBrandt
LBrandt was the featured sellers a little  while back in Etsy and the first thing to catch my eye were the wobbly TILT vases but exploring her shop further, I noticed that all her pieces have a natural aesthetic that perfectly compliment the Tillandsias (air plants) she also sells. See and buy more of her work here. (Unfortunately her plant based creations can’t be ordered out of the States...

Their journal is also is a lovely record of their travels, their finds and their ongoing exploration of...

Claire Basler/ Artist
A quick search on the net let me know I was not alone in being enchanted with the atelier and home of French artist Claire Basler (featured in the March 2010 Elle Decoration). Her warehouse / studio / home is a fantastic space where she’s brought the outdoors in. She has transformed the former iron works in to a canvas of its own - changing the definition of space to suits her and her...
